Born in Diyarbakır in 1961, Recep Budak opens his own restaurant in 1978, and his first signature dish is braised lamb neck. Recep Usta is the person who has not only popularized braised dishes but also stuffed dishes with offal, not only in Turkey but also in various countries around the world.
The belief that ‘If I have offered a different taste, a delightful meal, and good service, then I am the happiest person in the world’ is evident in the flavor of his dishes. Most importantly, despite the passage of years, the taste of his dishes remains consistently delightful.
